Great to see Whitianga community members, iwi leaders, scientists, experts in mātauranga Māori, rangatahi, MP Scott Simpson, MPI, divers and business people all turn out for Te Wero Nui- the Ngāti Manuhiri led Caulerpa Roadshow last night.
It was wonderful to have the world experts on eradicating Caulerpa visit from California to share their expertise and answer questions.
This invasive seaweed is a threat to our moana and all the children of Tangaroa. It is indeed a huge challenge- Te Wero Nui. So let’s work together to defeat it. Mahi tahi!
