Part-time, Fixed-term contract to end of June 2026
Ngāti Hei seek a mature, motivated self starter who is equally comfortable to work as part of a team or by themselves. You need to be industrious, and enjoy working outdoors in diverse weather conditions. We require you to take pride in your work and be able to look after your tools and equipment.
The work involves:
- herbicide spraying
- hand weeding
- planting native plants
- lizard habitat restoration
- line trimming and mowing
- toilet maintenance
- general park and reserve maintenance
Training will be provided.
You will have:
- A love for the outdoors and purposeful work in te taiao.
- A full drivers license (preferred).
- Be physically fit and capable of manual work.
- Experience in planting, line trimming and mowing (preferred).
This is a part-time (3 days a week, 9 hours a day) position, fixed contract to end of June 2026. For the right person additional opportunities at Ngāti Hei are likely to arise.
